Description

The second annual Keynote Address for the NSF NIEHS Oceans and Human Health Center at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School will be held on Thursday January 19, 2006 beginning with a reception at 5:30 p.m. This event is co-sponsored by the Oceans & Human Health Center and the Office of Advancement. It is open to the public but seating and food is limited.

Dr. David H. Sherman will present the Keynote Address in the Auditorium located at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science.

Directions to Campus:

The Rosenstiel School, located on Virginia Key, a few miles east of the coast and the city of Miami.

From North of Miami:
The University of Miami RSMAS Campus is located on Virginia Key. Take I-95 South until the last exit before it ends (turning into U.S. Highway 1) – this exit is Rickenbacker Causeway. Follow signs to “Miami Seaquarium”. You will pass through a toll plaza ($1.25 toll) and continue along Rickenbacker Causeway. Continue through the 1 st traffic light (you will see MAST Academy on the left). As you continue, you will see Miami Seaquarium on the right. RSMAS is directly next to the Seaquarium – turn right at the 2 nd traffic light – you will be in the RSMAS Visitor Parking Lot. There will be a guard on duty to help direct you to the auditorium.

From South of Miami:
The University of Miami RSMAS Campus is located on Virginia Key. Take U.S. Highway 1 North until it turns into I-95. Make sure you are in the RIGHT LANE to continue on Highway 1. DO NOT go up on I-95. Look for the Miami Museum of Science entrance on the right (there is a giant sloth at this entrance) to know that you need to be to the right to get off toward Virginia Key. Once you have veered off to the right, go through the 1 st traffic light ( Miami Avenue). Stay in the right lane and follow signs to “Miami Seaquarium”. You will turn right at the next light ( Pioneer St.). You will pass through a toll plaza ($1.25 toll) and continue along Rickenbacker Causeway on the big bridge over the bay. Continue through the 1 st traffic light (you will see MAST Academy on the left). As you continue, you will see Miami Seaquarium on the right. RSMAS is directly next to the Seaquarium – turn right at the traffic light – you will be in the RSMAS Visitor Parking Lot. There will be a guard on duty to help direct you to the auditorium.
